Riverhead Building Supply delivers flow and functionality
The design goal for this East Hampton cottage was to achieve a simple, clean look while improving the fluidity of the space. To create a better flow, the Riverhead Building Supply kitchen design team went to work. A structural support that could not be moved presented a challenge that the design team was able to blend into the final layout.
With simplicity in mind, a beaded inset shaker door with a soft gray palette was used to balance the white countertop tile and wall paint. The cabinets are from Tedd Wood Fine Cabinetry. The door style is the Gettysburg reversed-raised center panel in Monument Grey paint. A flat stock molding was used to build a crown detail for the upper cabinets to keep the design crisp.
The dining nook has a custom L-shaped bench with plenty of storage inside. A modern style table and chairs complete the look.
The cabinetry used along the wall of the formal dining room is from Tedd Wood’s semi-custom line, Landmark. Accented by a casual wallpaper and marble countertop, the interior designer chose a bold darker gray color called Flagstone to make the bar area pop! This Hamptons cottage maintains its light and airy feel with contemporary flare and functionality.
